Batakavada

Batakavada is a vegetarian snack from Maharashtra, India. It is made by creating a spiced mashed potato mixture that is coated in a chickpea flour batter and deep-fried until golden and crispy. The potato mixture is made by sautéing onions, green chilies, ginger, and garlic with mashed potatoes and a spice blend. The resulting mixture is then shaped into balls, coated in the batter, and fried until crispy. Batakavada is often served with chutney or sauce for dipping and is a popular street food in Maharashtra and other parts of India.
